Delaware Family Law Commission's Annual Hearing

Senator Liane SorensonDelaware Senate Minority Whip Liane Sorenson, (R) Hockessin, today announced that citizens with concerns about Family Court operations dealing with issues like child support, visitation, etc., have an opportunity to make their opinions heard. Also, individuals are encouraged to make their views known concerning the Melson formula. Several members of the Delaware Melson Formula Committee will be attending to hear testimony from the public.

The Delaware Family Law Commission, which Senator Sorenson Chairs, will be holding its annual hearing to solicit public input on issues concerning Family Court. This hearing will take place in the House Chamber of Legislative Hall, Wednesday, January 11, 2006, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

People wishing to speak at the hearing can sign up at the event. Testimony will be limited to five minutes per person or group. Written comments will be accepted. 

"I urge anyone with an interest in Delaware's Family Court and the various issues it deals with, to attend" said Sorenson.
